Gathered
The Shop is now Gathered.
The Gathering created a space for people to come together around food, art and culture. Through that process, we found those whose work deserved to be seen beyond the festival. Gathered was born to do just this.
In a world that moves quickly, we believe there is value in slowing down. In knowing where things come from, who makes them, how they are used, and why they matter. Through a considered collection of food, design, objects and ideas, Gathered invites people to explore new ways of living and the pleasure of bringing good things home.
Where else can you engage with art while looking for something to take home with you?
The Gathered concept store at the festival is not merely a space to showcase what we love. It is also a place to discover work that changes how we see the world.
Every edition Gathered expands its stock to include a new dimension at the festival: a collaboration with an artist/maker bringing into focus conversations that capture the essence of contemporary India. This is our endeavour to make space for what we think deserves more attention.
the body
remembers
An installation by Swarup Dutta
A body, opened like a family archive. In this installation, scenographer Swarup Dutta transforms a life-sized wooden figure into a repository of personal history, with compartments holding the tastes, objects and recollections that make a life. A grandmother’s recipes, childhood cravings, journeys between Calcutta, Arunachal and England. Each fragment reveals how food carries memory across time and place, becoming part of who we are long after the meal itself is forgotten.

Swarup Dutta
Scenographer, photographer and multidisciplinary artist
Swarup Dutta works across scenography, photography and installation, creating experiences that bring art into dialogue with the spaces and people around it. His practice draws on craft, material and visual storytelling, often questioning how the body carries memory and how identity is shaped by the ways we see it. He is also deeply engaged with heritage and the revival of traditional crafts.
